The Black Pine or Pinus nigra is a species of the Pinaceae family that’s native to Central and Southern Europe and can be found in very high altitudes. A way to tell it’s a Black pine is by the two needles per fascicle. An ecological adaptation of the tree is its ability to survive harshly cold temperatures and snow.
