Japanese Aralia or a Fatsia japonica from the Araliaceae family is a medium evergreen shrub found in Korea and Japan. The plant produces small black berries and has large lobbed leaves with long petioles. An ecological adaptation of the Japanese Aralia is being shade and cold tolerant.
