Curiosity Week 4 - Saucer Magnolia (Magnolia denudata x Magnolia liliiflora)

My Curiosity plant this week was Magnolia denudata x Magnolia liliiflora hybrid or the Saucer Magnolia from the Magnoliaceae family. Some ecological adapations is its tolerance to alkaline soil and wind. Some identifying features include alternating oval leaves, and white or pink flowers blooming early Spring. The magnolia is a hybrid cross, so it has no real native range and is commonly found as a horticulture plant in deep moist soil on the east and west coast of the United States and across Great Britain, especially south England.
