Week 6 - Oregon Ash (Fraxinus latifolia) FD9

The Oregon Ash is a medium sized tree from the Oleaceae family. The tree has opposite branching and opposite leaves, gray bark, small flowers and paddle shaped, winged fruit. The tree is native to Birish Columbia down to California in moist, low elevations. Some adaptations of the tree are being shade tolerant with other plants blocking a majority of sun light and being able to handle strong winds because of the wide spreading roots.
