Week 6 - English Holly (Ilex aquifolium) FD 10

The English Holly or the Ilex aquifolium from the Aquifoliaceae family is a medium sized evergreen tree native to West of the Cascades and British Columbia and Ontario. The densly packed tree has leathery spinal leaves and bright red drupe fruits. An ecological adaptation of the tree is to be able to resprout if the tree gets cut off from the stump and also being able to reproduce through layering and sprouts on the trunk.
