Week 6 - Vine Maple (Acer circinatum) FD9

 

The Vine Maple is a small tree of shrub from the Sapindaceae family native to low elevations of the Pacific Northwest. The leaves are palmately lobbed and doubly serated and the tree has red and white flowers and little red fruits. The Vine maple is adapted to have winged seeds to aid in dispersal alongside small animals eating the fruit which also aid in seed dispersal.
