The Oceanspray is a small deciduous shrub from the Rosaceae family. The tree is native to British Columbia all the way south to Southern California. The shrub has a unique leaf that’s hairy and broadly ovate with lobes on it and has little white flowers on it. Some ecological adaptations of the plant is it’s pollinated by insects and flowers later than other plants giving it a competitive advantage.
